Hi! My name is Makena Lewis! I was born and raised right here in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I’ve wanted to be a teacher since kindergarten! I changed my mind here and there over the years, but eventually came back to the idea. Some of my hobbies and interests include boating, swimming, hiking, musical theatre, dance, graphic design, and much more! I am very close with my family: my parents, younger brother, and of course the two cutest dogs ever!!
I’m super excited to be starting second year of my BEd at UVic with this amazing group of people, and experiencing this class and the others over the next while. I do have some background with technology, especially growing up in this day and age. I started video editing after I went on a trip to Tofino with my family in grade two, and it’s something I continue to find a lot of joy in! Other than graphic design and video editing, I would like to say I’m fairly competent with technology, but it still definitely gets the best of me sometimes! I’m quite enthused to learn more about technology over the next few weeks in a way that will help me as I become a teacher!
